Jesus take the wheel and take me home today

Its not about what I feel but please I ask don’t delay

I can’t seem to take any more of this world

This is enough now too many stones have been hurled

Throughout every day

So please I beg you don’t delay

I need you to come and take me right away

These days I realise are drawing to a close

But your sweet incense smells like a fragrant rose

How much longer before you arrive

To take me home away from this present life

I fall down on bended knees

Where I stay and where I weep

Your Word I know is real and very much alive

Getting to know you is easy where I don’t have to strive

You are there in every book of Your Word

As I read there are things I’ve not yet heard

I’m so thankful for your love

Bringing peace just like a dove

This is the start and not the end of my story

Where soon The Bridegroom you will send
