Life is hard

This was written for a friend of mine and I guess this applies to me too at the moment

 

Life is hard but you are going

to get through

I know there are many days

that you are feeling so blue

Please just hang in there

but I know life is just

So unfair

You can’t stop crying through

The day or night

And as it appears for you

nothing ever seems to go right

There is a pit of darkness all around you

You seem to go further down

In everything you do

 

Day by day you are

losing control of this fight

And I understand that

nothing at the moment seems very bright

You are on a downward spiral I can tell

Nothing seems clear any more

And you are understandably unwell

 

But please understand me

I know it is hard for me to say

Please know that deep within you

I’m sure one day soon you will have faith

For at the end of the tunnel is a burst of light

I know you feel empty but please

try not to lose sight

 

For at the end of this tunnel

Is Jesus standing there

Where He is holding his arms out

to you but I know this is more than you can bare

Just try not to resist Him

Because just for you please know

He will go out on a limb

 

I will pray and hope that

One day soon you will see

That all you have to do

Is to get down on your knees

For I believe Jesus is nearer than you think

But I guess at the moment

All you want to do is sink

 

You don’t need to do anything

right now now as it is hard for you to see

For at this moment in time

You simply need to be let be

Try not to worry or be anxious about nothing

For everyone around can tell

How much you are suffering

 

But please remember that there is

A light in this darkness please don’t despair

For Jesus is carrying you

And he really does care

Try to hang in there as best as you can

For God will not leave you

be in what seems like sinking sand
