Sitting here your mind under attack
Unable to think clearly and this is a fact
Inside you are crying; your grief so strong
Not fitting in; knowing you don’t belong
A heart that is heavy feelings so unsteady
You are in a haze; living in this world gone crazy
Life so unfair yet all around are people who care
Still, you sit where into the darkness you stare
Feelings of hopelessness; the tears keep flowing
Not knowing whether you are coming or going
With no idea how long you are supposed to wait
Trying not to be consumed with bitterness & hate
You recall that day where your world fell apart
Your heart shattered into tiny shards of glass
Little did you know the horror of things to come
That you would be sitting here totally numb
Holding your head where nothing makes sense
Unable to move; your body so rigid; so tense
Totally broken; your pain so raw for all to see
Inside you are crushed where your heart bleeds
So many unanswered questions one being why
The future now bleak; no longer sunny & bright
Lives so cruelly snatched from the palm of your hand
How do you carry on; How do you continue to stand
This is far worse than the torture you endured
Your future no longer is this safe and secure
Your beautiful family wiped out where they are no more
Your wife and your children who you love & adore
The intense hatred that brought about their demise
Was covered up by the enemies wickedness & lies
This is far more than you are able to bare
Staring into the distance; doing nothing but glare
You wonder how are you supposed to keep going
Tears running down your cheeks; continually flowing
You can’t see the woods beyond the trees ahead
Wanting your family back; wishing they were still there

Beautiful poem page. I’m in tears reading it. Thank you for expressing the feelings in words I didn’t know i was having or was unable to.
Graceful Simplicity
Lynn bThank you Lynn – this was not an easy poem to put together. When I started typing I had no idea in what direction the words would take shape but then as always The Ruach Hakodesh took over!!
