Father, we cry to you for the devastation in Your land
For righteousness’ sake we fall on bended knees & make a stand
The destruction and terror inflicted on Your people
Lives that have been lost through pure hatred and abhorrent evil
Carnage is rife throughout every town and city
We see your tears for the innocent ones whom You love so dearly
We cry out to You for this nation torn apart
This war raging where for some the future appears quite dark
We never envisaged how quickly this war would evolve
This battle now in full force, for Your people has taken its toll
In so many cities people were literally running for their lives
With few places to go and practically nowhere for them to hide
The sheer terror on their faces too painful to comprehend
These acts so barbaric and heartless when oh when will it end
Abba Father, we fall to the ground crying out Your name
For this vengeance to stop which is totally and utterly inhumane
Israel a promised land that is flowing with milk and honey
Where the enemy is rife with their hands now extremely bloody
But vengeance is sweet & is Yours at the end of the day
This battle you have won for You alone have the final say
The very young to the elderly their future they now dread
Innocent ones whose families are torn to shreds
The cries of the fatherless totally breaking your heart
But these animals celebrate, throwing heads back they laugh
In all this bloodshed and brutal acts of extreme terror
Throughout your land & beyond people are fighting in prayer
For we know that already in Your name the victory is won
Because of the promise of Your Word Yeshua Your Son
Which goes back to the very beginning of Your creation
Whereby You established your covenant with Israel as a nation
So, your hand we know you will never remove from this land
Through the blessing of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, Israel was planned
Israel O Lord forever you will hold her in the palm of your hand
Your promise of protection over this nation will forever stand
Never will you let her go for your blessings are true and steadfast
She is small but so fierce for your hand over her will forever last
You will always have her back no matter what is thrown her way
Nothing will phase her, & no harm will touch her even in this day
This beautiful land of Zion is strong and secure in your love
We pray the peace of Jerusalem reigns down on her like a dove
Today the start of Hanukkah known as the festival of lights
It should be an occasion of joy which starts at sundown tonight
But for so many with loved ones that have been so cruelly taken
Their families with hearts so raw see no reason for celebration
Abba Father for these families whose pain is obvious to see
May they call on your name in prayer and in your Son start to believe
For as Believers in Yeshua we know He is the one true light
In the midst of the darkness, His light shines oh-so-bright
In the stillness of the evening which is very nearly upon us
May those with no faith in Your Son start to put their trust
Gathering together in the stillness on this first night
With our candles at the ready knowing You are our light
