Heaven is nearer than we think!
Heaven is closing on in
So, the question is where do I begin?
So many answers needed at the start
I guess it is from Your word that I need to impart
To gain more understanding
I can see more from where I am standing
Heaven is nearer than we think
Too much is happening around us
Along with pain which people have now sussed
It is time to go back to the very beginning
Before Adam and Eve were caught sinning
When the world was a very safe place
No matter of your colour, creed or race
Heaven is nearer than we think
God created heaven and earth
And then of man and woman he provided a new birth
So that in harmony they could live
They had plenty of knowledge and plenty to give
But then they tasted of the forbidden fruit
Which they realised they shouldn’t have taken this route
Heaven is nearer than we think
For man things had changed after the creation
And it came into being God created new nations
From Israel to other continents people eventually would sail
But the world started off on a very small scale
God knew what He was doing from the very start
And of Man he created knowledge which to them he would impart
Heaven is nearer than we think
Creation included the stars, sky and seas
Without God in our lives where on earth would we be
But alas many do not follow by his example
They would rather stick to their lives in which Satan would trample
Without having a clue as to where they are going
People believe they have it all and are therefore all knowing
Heaven is nearer than we think
The atmosphere around us is changing
Wars are happening and are around us just waging
Especially throughout the middle east
One day these wars in the world will just cease
For until that time comes where Jesus comes again
It is only a matter of time and a matter of when
Heaven is nearer than we think
Heaven is nearer than we think
Where one day this world will end before we can blink
Many prophecies are coming to pass
And many believers are called to fast
And to pray more fervently than ever before
And whereby God calls us to do even more
So, yes, heaven is nearer than we think….
This poem I wrote originally back in the middle of 2018 whereby I have tweaked this a little but by one line only. The words written are certainly very relevant today more so now than ever before!
