Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always; and again, I say rejoice

We live in very troubling times this we all know but at the same time as the above Bible verse says – we are to rejoice in the One who gave us life in the very first instance and we are commanded to rejoice in the God of Israel who is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Nowhere in Bible Scripture does it say for us to rejoice sometimes or to rejoice when situations are going right in our lives – No, it says to rejoice always and always literally means at all times and in all situations regardless!!
This is not an easy thing to do especially when going through trials which can be very difficult and at times challenging – but this is where we do need to keep trusting in Jesus Christ who is also the Author and Finisher of our faith. If we don’t continue to (a) keep trusting in Him and (b) to always have joy then we are doubting God basically and His Sovereignty. This is where we do need to be so very careful that when Abba Father commands us to do something that we obey Him no matter the cost. It is imperative that we do stay in an attitude of Joy and again, this is an attitude!
This takes us to another deeper level. We shouldn’t choose what parts of Bible Scripture we obey or don’t obey – this is not a book that we rummage through and blindly put our finger on a specific Bible verse and read or choose “today I will focus on this verse right here” whilst ignoring the rest of His Absolute Written Word – no, we cannot do this because we are dishonouring Abba Father by “being picky” if you will which is also not good ground to be on!
We need to move forward in absolute confidence and faith trusting In Abba Father and walking in His ways 24/7 and as I have said, to not pick and choose Bible Verses to suit our own needs. We don’t get to “play God” if you will.
As we move forward in this month of December let us all choose to be joyful and to continue to stand firm on His promises that He blessed us with from the very beginning of creation. His promises of life over death and of salvation.
This brings me to another Bible verse which says “why are you cast down O my soul” – the actual Bible verse is below:
Psalm 42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

If we read the above Scripture verse which says, why are you cast down, o my soul? And why are you disquieted within me and then the words Hope in God. This is so true and again going back to the word Joy, we are called to praise Him as the above verse states – why? Because our help comes from Abba Father and our joy comes from Him. This is also why I state that we are not to be cast down and how dare we be cast down when Abba Father through His Son Jesus Christ has given us hope especially in this world so dark. He has given us His Joy through His Son Jesus Christ – agreed!
So, my final word on this post is for us to be very careful that we do have the Joy of The Lord for He is our strength, and He is our joy in a world so chaotic. Let us be reminded which we are on a daily basis through His Written Word to keep our eyes fixed on Him at all times and through His Son, not only do we have joy that is everlasting, but we have eternal hope which is forever friends and the assurity that our home is with Jesus Christ in heaven. So let us not lose heart brothers and sisters

Let us remain Joyful at all times and in ALL circumstances
