I love to read!

I started reading quite a bit at a very young age

I would sometimes recite a story when on the stage

It was fun to read out loud and for people to listen

It wasn’t too long before books I would then christen

I find it very hard to turn myself away from a story

Especially the Bible whereby to God, I give Him all the glory

I just love reading to my heart’s content

Some books are even heaven sent

You can choose from thousands of titles

Some even have a fair amount of recitals

But whether you love reading or not

I am sure that there is something that you read a lot

Whether it be a book or your favourite magazine

You can even get books for your child or teen

As I am sure they will love to get engrossed

Sometimes they have read so much they will simply boast

I am sure there is something out there for everyone

To me reading quite a bit is purely a lot of fun

My most favourite all time Book is the Word of God

For some people this is what they read and that is their lot

But for me to get engrossed in this wonderful book

I don’t just read it for fun or even read it for the look

For so many bibles are so wonderfully made

Including journaling ones too which started this decade

I love non-fiction and anything that has a good ending

There are often times that I have books that are pending

As I can start a few titles all in one go

And I have them quite often stacked up all in a row

This happens a lot as you can probably tell

And I can finish books off probably quite quickly if all is well

I do have blocks of time that I don’t read that much at all

But there are other times where by reading I am having a ball

I can start one book in the morning and have it finished by night

Sometimes when it is getting dark I end up reading by candle light

For to finish a book that I get so engrossed in

I just love it when the story ends whereby everyone wins

If I was to recommend any one book for you to read

This has to be God’s Word a hundred percent, yes indeed

For there is no other book in history that is better than this

So, do pick it up and read to the end and don’t quit

But also chew on the words throughout every page

For the writing therein will keep you very much engaged

From Genesis to the end of the Book of Revelation

Every single account written is about His gift of salvation

May the words embedded hit your innermost being to the core

As you read, may you know His joy like never before

With this said do take time to study and meditate each day

More importantly, turn to Jesus and I ask please don’t delay
