This website is a dual-purpose website meaning that first of all the main purpose of this website is to spread the gospel and to give hope needed now more than ever in this crazy upside-down world that we are living in. There is an eclectic mixture of blog posts to poetry and some of the posts shared also delve into my own personal life. These snippets of information are shared with a purpose to not only give parts of my own story but to encourage others in whatever stage you are in – in this life. This is also to share the uniqueness of “the story behind the page”. For others to discover the journey of life with all of its trials and ups and downs and the joys along with the strength of Jesus Christ – because without knowing Him personally and being obedient in getting to know Him – I could not share what He has been and is doing in my own life. At the end of the day this is not about me but all ABOUT HIM above all else!
Another focus of this website is to encourage and to bless everyone who comes to this site. I realise this site is not for everyone, but I still would encourage you to look through the various posts as there is something for all out there in this world-wide internet web. For the most part the poetry especially is all about Jesus Christ, which is portrayed in various ways but again, I do strongly encourage you to read the various posts. But also, there are some “light-hearted” poems thrown in to the mix. I would urge you to not just take a look at the title and decide from the title that “this is not for me” but do take the time to read and my prayer is that in some small way – the various poetry and/or blog posts will encourage you in your own journey as well as to encourage you to think; ponder and give thought and most of all pray about your own unique situation and where you are at in this journey called life.
This website is also for edification and for all of us who know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour to grow in our journey with Him. This is also another desire for this website.
A website of grace and simplicity:
As you can tell the overall site is very feminine and “pretty” the latter not my words but those of others who have picked up on regarding colours, layout etc.
The website is meant to be attractive with an overall picture of elegance and femininity. I am very much what many would call a “girly girl” – this has always been the case from early childhood. I am the opposite of my own mother who was a tomboy, but I am not and never have been and nor will I ever be!
I love soft pastel colours and elegance both of which definitely come across on this site. I also am one of those women where everything has to match sometimes to the point of perfection – which is nigh impossible to achieve in any area of our lives which I have no doubt you will agree with me on this point!
The look that has been achieved has been painstakingly slow with tons of hours over the last two and a-bit years; there have been copious changes but now I do believe this site is looking for the most part acceptable and pleasing to the eye where I am happy with the overall look. I will add here though, that not everything you see is the same behind the scenes! What I mean by this is that there are a ton of errors that have been pointed out to me recently which you cannot see! Hence these need to be addressed and ironed out at some stage so that the website before you will flow with more ease.
Website design does not come easily to me and is an absolute headache to put together. It is trial and error in both adding and changing templates with all of the layouts; design; colours and the list is endless. There have been copious amounts of frustration; tears to the point where at times I have wanted to completely give up and throw in the towel – but I have with the help of The Holy Spirit battled on as I wanted this site to go up and to look very acceptable and most importantly of all to be used as a platform for giving the gospel along with encouragment where needed.
Not only this but the overall design I wanted to be very different to the norm where it is attractive (again this aspect has been pointed out to me by others). I wanted the overall look to be very unique and to fit in with my own style of colours; to be beautiful and elegant in both looks and style. I wanted this website to portray uniqueness and individuality of the woman that God has created me to be. I also wanted this website to be graceful but simplistic in its overall style.
What I did not want this website to achieve:
I also did not want to follow the crowd in how many (not all) other websites look – so that this does indeed come across as all of the above but also classy in style with an elegance that goes beyond the veil. I wanted this website to stand out from the crowd!
I do believe all of the above has been achieved – though this website is far from perfect just like its owner may I add here – I am happy as I stated earlier with the overall look. I am happy with the way everything flows. With all of the slow painstakingly attention to detail – this website does mirror its owner or at least this is my goal. Though as I mentioned earlier, this website just like its owner is far from perfect. There are going to be mistakes and flaws and there are by the way – but as I am absolutely definitely not perfect neither is this website. Yes, I do keep stressing this point and with good reason!
Not always grammatically correct:
I am also asking you to be patient where you can, as you will notice grammatical errors as well as spelling mistakes. You will notice some sentences not adding up – of which no matter how many times I check through posts, and I do check several times, you will still find flaws and mistakes. I do my hardest to rectify errors of any kind when I see them. I will also add here that it seems as if my brain does not function as well as it used too; where I do struggle with forming sentences that should read well but alas at times do not! Hence I do my utmost to correct as much as I can – again this is where I ask for both patience and understanding please!
AS AN ADDED NOTE:
this is where I do ask please if you see any post that is not Biblically correct or of sound scripture – do reach out to me personally so that this can be rectified as soon as i am able to do so.
All blog posts where relevant are Biblical and straight from Scripture – as again, I have no intention of adding anything that is not backed up by God’s Ultimate Written Word. I am being very careful NOT to add anything that is taken out of context in regards to God’s Word! This is where I do pray when putting up any posts that have Bible Verses and need explanation! Also please note and I have said this before – I am not a Bible Teacher nor do I claim let alone pretend to be one!
again thank you for your patience and understanding….
