This poem is based on the Book Of Esther from The Tanakh/ Old Testament Book of God’s Word – The Holy Bible. I have not done the life of Esther justice in this poem because there is so much more I could have added from Queen Esther’s life on how she set her people free from death – I will at some stage come back to this amazingly beautiful historic factual truth of her life from this, my favourite book of The Tanakh/Old Testament Book.
Esther, sweet, soft, mellow inside
A sister of virtue, with nothing to hide
Strong and secure in all that she does
This daughter of grace with a heart full of love
Esther, meaning a star full of hope
In all situations does more than just cope
Beautiful inside and outside too
Her love for Yeshua, so obvious, shines through
Esther, assertive and humble was she
A faithful servant of the highest degree
This woman of courage, born of strength
To protect her people, went to great lengths
Esther so precious, so full of life
She came through trials, troubles, & strife
A great encourager, who put herself last
Her love for her King and her people was vast
Esther her heart so pure and open to You
This woman of substance, value & truth
Full of character, she knew no bounds
So full of obedience, was steadfast and sound
Esther a Queen, Confidente & Friend
Who stood for righteousness, to the very end
This daughter of Yours, so obvious to see
A Woman of Your Word, set her people – totally free
