Complacency

This is no time to become complacent

This is a fairly short post

We all know that Donald Trump has been re-elected and therefore is now President Elect – it is fair to say that the vote was very much unanimous throughout America with of course there being those who were so unhappy they were seen bawling their eyes out in some cases and/if not screaming in anguish – a little bit extreme but again this goes to show their insane behaviour just because Donald Trump was re-elected. There also appeared to be fear in some folk over the fact that he has been re-elected!

Yes, for most of us this is excellent news, however, The Holy Spirit reminded me last Wednesday – the day the results came through – that this is no time for complacency. This is no time for especially Believers in Jesus Christ to become complacent believing the false narrative that all is going to be ok; or that situations around the world will improve – no, this is not accurate. I do say this with confidence and in actual confidence. We also need to remember that even if Kamala Harris had been elected then the situation would have been even worse but nonetheless for us to fall into the trap of relaxing and just sitting back – this is the last thing we need to be doing and I mean this with all seriousness.

This is where I have also stated before and will say again – anyone of us who put our trust in Donald Trump or any world leader or anyone other than Jesus Christ is heading for a fall because our ONLY hope and trust should be in Jesus Christ and in Him ALONE. No man on earth can save us except Jesus Christ – NO ONE ELSE 

The new president may be a close friend of Benjamin Netanyahu, however, we need to remember that his main loyalty for want of a better expression is to America first and foremost but also he is a friend to Israel also. Note also that Donald trump is more clued on and sharper when it comes to global events. Not only this – but he has a clear moral distinction between good and evil. This also does not mean we should put him on a pedestal as per my comments as I noted above – this again is where we need to exercise caution.

Ezekiel 33:7
7 “So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me

We know that the President Elect is 100% for Israel but this is where we also need to keep our eyes on the news, and I don’t mean the mainstream media but actual facts of what is going on in Israel and yes around the rest of the globe too. For now, though   Israel – where end times prophecy which is already starting to unfold and has been unfolding at a rate of knots and an alarming rate of knots at that – it will be interesting to see what is going to transpire once Donald Trump actually does take office which will happen I believe on January 20th 2025!

Regarding Israel – this is where we need to take note of any possible development or I should be more precise here to say we do need to keep our eyes on this beautiful and precious Nation, because, whatever happens in Israel has an effect on the rest of the world – especially in the coming weeks and months ahead!

We are in for even more serious times than ever before and again we need to remember that God is and always will be on His Throne. We need to remember that we do need to continue to reach the lost for Jesus whilst also remembering that not everyone will listen to our pleas and there are even those who call us “conspiracy theorists” which considering the days we are living in is an absolute joke. This is not even funny to be fair but very sad as we are told to keep our eyes not only on world events; But, to keep our eyes on Jesus as well as to watch out for His immenent return – which is closer now than ever before!

42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

Let us not become lazy in our thinking!

This is also why I say in all seriousness that we are not to for want of a better expression “breathe a sigh of relief” and as I stated above, thinking that things in this world will improve, because if we go down that road of dangerous thinking – and dear readers, this is indeed dangerous thinking then as I keep on saying, we are then on a dangerous slippery slope of deceptiveness which we cannot afford to go down for one single moment. So, any thought of both you or I even thinking that we can relax – this is the time that we need to ramp up our prayer time and time spent in His Inherent Word. We should be doing this anyways – because we are in very serious troubled times where we cannot, and I mean cannot (in the literal sense) afford to take our eyes off of Jesus or let alone relax our minds from events happening on a global scale. We are to keep watch all the time as Scripture commands us too!

This is yet another post where I want the information here to both encourage and equip both you and I to make sure we are both watchmen and watch women on the wall – always looking to Jesus Christ and always to keep our eyes on the ticking clock. We are called to persevere to the very end which is also where we are to not become stagnant in our daily walk with Jesus. 

Finally, (another favourite word ha ha), no matter how beautiful and sunny the world appears – let us not be lulled into a false sense of security. Let us always be looking up which is where our redemption lies.
